State of the Union: What to Expect of U.S. Politics and Economy in 2019

Join AmCham Denmark's AccessUSA for a morning briefing on January 30, focusing on what to expect of U.S. politics and economy in 2019.

In spite of the U.S. President postponing his State of the Union Address our experts are still ready to give their perspectives on the political and economic situation in the U.S., perhaps now more timely than ever.

Following the midterm elections in November, the Democrats won the majority of the House while the Republicans strengthened their grip on the Senate. But has U.S. politics reached a deadlock? How will it affect Danish companies, and what are they to expect in 2019? These are some of the questions that will be clarified by our top experts:

Ulrik Bie, Economic Editor at Berlingske, will outline economic trends and analyze the current state of the American market including potential challenges and opportunities for Danish companies in the U.S.

Anders Agner, Editor-in-Chief at Kongressen.com, will analyze and discuss perspectives on the political situation.

Some specific subjects to be covered are:

  • Trade war status and consequences
  • US dollar and interest rate analysis
  • The healthcare reform
  • Future predictions on the US political and economic landscape
