AmCham Denmark Policy Positions
AmCham Denmark’s policy and advocacy is driven by the concerns and needs of AmCham member companies. Through annual surveys, executive meetings and committee work, AmCham develops policy positions on issues impacting its member companies. Effective resolution will support building an optimal, sustainable foreign investment environment in Denmark and minimizing barriers to international commerce. Our policy positions are grounded in the best available evidence, transparent and free from conflict of interest.
One of the principle activities of AmCham Denmark is to represent the internationally oriented business community as well as to facilitate the entrance of potential new investors into Denmark. The member companies of AmCham represent many of the largest companies in Denmark with a majority of foreign direct investment and cross Atlantic trade.
AmCham’s primary mechanism for developing and implementing advocacy and lobbying related initiatives are through the active AmCham Committees and Task Forces. The Committee structure enables AmCham to engage interested members over an extended period of time in industry and sector specific policy related issues. Additionally, AmCham members utilize Task Forces to focus on specific issues and bring together members who are experts on that issue to develop and execute an action plan to resolve the problem. Once resolution has been reached, the Task Force is disbanded. This structure is very effective in resolving specific issues in a short period of time. AmCham will continue to strive to establish value added Committees and Task Forces as identified by the membership.
