On May 23, business executives from AmCham’s Expat Leadership Forum gathered at Christiansborg Palace for an informative session on how to work with the Danish government.

The event was hosted by Danish MP and spokesperson on Education & Research Mette Reissmann (S) who shared her insights on the openness of the political culture in Denmark as well as how to work efficiently with parliamentarians.

Former Minister and MP and now Public Affairs Director at Rud Petersen, Henriette Kjær, presented concrete advice on how businesses can get the attention of politicians around a specific topic.

The visit also included an ‘insiders’ tour of the Danish Parliament led by Mette Reissmann, who was happy to share the her knowledge about the Palace.

This was a truly unique opportunity for ExPat leaders to learn about the Danish political system, from the politicians themselves, while networking with their peers.

AmCham’s ExPat Leadership Forum is a community of foreign senior executives in Denmark, interested in learning more about the Danish business, cultural and political landscape. If you’re interested in being part of this unique network, please contact the AmCham office.
