Members gathered at AmCham's Loft for a unique ‘behind the scenes’ AccessUSA event featuring a case story about a Danish company that endured a complex lawsuit in the USA.

Over two years ago, Power Stow Americas was sued by an individual airline baggage handler who claimed he was injured when one of Power Stow’s Rollertrack belt loaders was pushed into his legs. Though the claim against Power Stow was weak, the individual’s injuries were significant and he claimed over $1,000,000 in medical bills and personal loss.

Power Stow’s CEO Martin Vestergaard, along with General Counsel Rick Hoel shared details about this daunting and often strenuous case, exploring the complex litigation process and products liability law in the USA – providing practical advice on how to avoid - or mitigate - such cases.
