On December 12, AmCham members and guests rounded out a successful year at the annual AmCham / U.S. Embassy Commercial Service Holiday Party.

The event was hosted by the Copenhagen Marriott at their panoramic Vesterhavet Ballroom with beautiful views of the harbor.

In brief welcome remarks, AmCham’s Stephen Brugger noted that with 50 events and 2500 participants, 2018 has been a banner year for AmCham – and thanked AmCham members for their strong support and engagement. Also present at this year’s Holiday Mingle were the Nordic AmCham teams from Sweden, Norway, and Finland.

The U.S. Embassy’s Deputy Chief of Mission Laura Lochman congratulated AmCham for a highly successful year and underlined her continued commitment to support and nurture the important partnership between the U.S. Embassy and AmCham.

How to live in Denmark

Guests also enjoyed the “How to Live in Denmark Jeopardy” game show, hosted by author and keynote speaker Kay Xander Mellish. With entertaining categories like “Fun with SKAT” and “How to Offend a Dane” she expertly shared the cultural differences between Americans and Danes – all in the name of fun.

Airline Ticket Giveaway

Excitement was high at the end of the event, when British Airways/American Airlines/Iberia held a drawing for two roundtrip tickets to any of their U.S. destinations.

AmCham wishes everyone Happy Holidays!
