AmCham Denmark is now accepting nominations for its 2010 Foreign Company of The Year Award. Aimed at highlighting the significance of foreign direct investment in Denmark, this award recognizes the contributions, importance and positive impact made by foreign companies operating in this country.

The Jury

In order to ensure complete impartiality in the selection process, AmCham's board of directors has once againg appointed an independent jury to evaluate the applications and select this year's winner. 2010's jury is comprised of DI Chairman and Managing Director for Toms, Jesper Møller; Professor Steen Thomsen from Copenhagen Business School’s Center for International Business and Corporate Leadership; and Sten Scheibye, Chairman, Danish Trade Council. The recipient of this year’s award will be announced by U.S. Ambassador Laurie S. Fulton on October 12, at the annual Ambassador’s Reception at Rydhave.

AmCham Denmark’s Foreign Company of the Year Award 2010 will be awarded to an AmCham member company invested in Denmark that has demonstrated significant achievements in one or more of the following areas:

• Company growth (in relative terms) through exceptional business practices
• Significant investments (in a relative sense)
• Strategic partnerships
• Development/launch of an innovative product or service
• Development of an innovative work environment, incorporating a multicultural workforce.
• Corporate Social Responsibility.
• Other (please specify).

 

Nomination Eligibility

To be eligible, award candidates must be a member in good standing of AmCham Denmark. Companies may nominate themselves, or they may be nominated by other Chamber members. Nominations must be received by Friday, September 10, 2010.

Submissions for nominations should include (as applicable):

• Company name, address, contact person, etc.
• Location of company parentage
• Relevant company statistics (annual turnover, growth, number of employees, etc.)
• Detailed description of noteworthy achievements in Denmark over the past year(s) with regards to the above mentioned criteria.
