(Photo: HASSE FERROLD) U.S. Ambassador to Denmark Laurie S. Fulton sets out to build green partnerships across the Atlantic.

Following on from progress made at the UN Climate Summit in December, COP-15, Ambassador Laurie S. Fulton, initiated a single-day of "speed-dating" between a number of leading U.S. and Danish companies looking to make environmentally solutions work for them in the green business arena.

The objective of the event was to forge partnerships and pursue collaboration in areas such as oil extraction, fuel cells, lighting, low energy construction and refrigeration. The event attracted over 60 companies including Boeing, GE, Honeywell, Johnston Controls, Lockheed Martin, Cowi, Grundfoss, Danfoss and Logstor.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Fulton commented: "I know that no country or company has all the best ideas and this is an opportunity to bring entrepreneurs together to we can make the world a greener place."

The Director or Dansk Industri's Department of Energy, Anders Stouge, lauded the Ambassador's vision in creating the Green Partnership event saying: "It is totally down to Ambassador Fulton that so many companies chose to participate. We expect a lot to come out of our negotiations, because the US is the world's second largest market for energy-technology."
