Navigating Cultural Differences in International Business

AmCham's HR Committee invites all interested participants for an expert presentation and discussion on the challenges of cultural differences in international business. The event features sought-after consultant and cultural expert, Henry Zinglersen, Thunderbird Global School of Management (a part of Arizona State University), who has worked with international leaders and multinational teams merger and acquisition projects in over 90 countries; along with business case studies from several AmCham member companies.

Successful Integration in Mergers & Acquisitions
One of the reasons many mergers, acquisitions, and joint-ventures fail to deliver on promised value, is the poor integration of people, teams, and corporate cultures. In the age of business globalization, successful integration depends less on aligning structure and strategy, and more on strong management of people and culture.

Business Cases
The event will also feature practical examples from several AmCham’s member companies, including:

  • Anne Mette Traberg, Head of Global HR, Maersk Line
  • Jakob Lyngsøe Andersen, Director, Human Resources, FMC

We hope you will join us for an engaging discussion on how to successfully navigate cultural differences at the individual, team and corporate level.
