Meet-the-Leaders with Minister of Health Ellen Trane Nørby
Minister of Health Ellen Trane Nørby met with AmCham members, providing a first-hand account of the healthcare industry seen from her ministerial perspective.
This latest installment of AmCham’s Meet-the-Leaders series was hosted by Deloitte at their BellaVista auditorium in inner Copenhagen. Deloitte Partner Mikael Skov Mikkelsen was on hand to welcome the Minister and the participants.
In her remarks, Minister Nørby focused on her main priorities as Minister, which included digital health, public-private partnerships, access to healthcare data and the role of the Regions. She also highlighted a few priorities from the national life science strategy that she and the Minister of Business will present very soon.
Following the minister’s speech, AmCham’s Stephen Brugger led an interactive Q&A session, where participants had the opportunity to engage the Minister directly on a wide range of topics.
About Minister Trane Nørby
Minister Ellen Trane Nørby has been a Member of Parliament for the Danish Liberal Party (Venstre) since 2007. She has served as the Minister of Health since November 2016. Prior to that, she served as the Minister of Equality, Children, and Education. Minister Nørby has been considered one of the rising stars in Danish politics and has also served as Venstre’s political spokesperson for several years. Ellen Trane Nørby holds a Master of Arts in Arts History from the University of Copenhagen.
