AmCham 2025 Transatlantic Summit
If you took away one message from AmCham’s Executive Director, Stephen Brugger, at the 2025 Transatlantic Summit, it was this: The transatlantic economic partnership is navigating some strong headwinds, but remains anchored and resilient.
Steen Bocian, Economic Editor & Chief Economist at Børsen shared his expert analysis of U.S. economic policies, market trends, and geopolitical issues. Torsten Jansen, distinguished Danish journalist and Associate Partner at Lead Agency, shared his insights on U.S. and foreign politics. And with this context for background, Morten Enggaard Rasmussen, EVP People & Stakeholder Relations at Novonesis, provided an overview of their transatlantic journey and current challenges.
Thanks to Steen, Torsten and Morten for their interesting presentations and frank discussion during Q&A. It was very valuable for participants. And thanks to Novonesis for their wonderful hospitality!
New Report
During the summit, AmCham’s Stephen Brugger presented highlights from the 2025 Transatlantic Economy report, which was commissioned by AmCham EU and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce – and sponsored in part by AmCham Denmark.
As headlines declare that Europe and the US are drifting apart, commercial ties between the two sides – the deepest and broadest between any two regions in history – are accelerating. The report estimates the transatlantic economy has reached a new high of $9.5 (€8.7) trillion in 2024, up from $8.7 (€8) trillion the previous year. Again, Stephen Brugger asserts, “The transatlantic economic partnership is navigating some strong headwinds, but it remains anchored and resilient.”
