2025 Washington D.C. Nordic Directors’ Debrief
AmCham Denmark’s Stephen Brugger and Valdemar Bjergvang recently joined peers from across Europe for the annual AmChams in Europe USA conference, a week marked by high-level meetings, strategic discussions, and valuable transatlantic engagement.
The trip began in Atlanta, where visits to the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Tech, The Coca-Cola Company and Delta Airlines, provided fresh perspectives on U.S. innovation, business leadership, and regional economic momentum.
In Washington, D.C., the delegation engaged in direct conversations with senior officials from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Trade Representative’s office, the Departments of Commerce and State, and the Atlantic Council. Discussions spanned key topics such as trade, energy, ESG, and current geopolitical dynamics – all reinforcing the value of ongoing collaboration between business and government.
Beyond the meetings, the trip was a chance to reconnect with fellow AmChams and global partners. Strengthening our shared commitment to transatlantic cooperation and the companies we represent.
Nordic Directors Debrief
On Monday, May 26, the Nordic AmCham directors continued their tradition of meeting for an online debrief following their U.S. trip – this time with over 150 interested members.
During this unscripted, interactive session, Alexandra, Jason, Peter and Stephen shared key takeaways from meetings and conversations held across the Atlantic, along with reflections on what these insights mean for member companies. Topics included U.S. trade policy and tariffs, foreign investments, the U.S.-Europe relationship, and most importantly, how Nordic companies can navigate the current market landscape.
A big thank you to AmCham Finland and Alexandra for hosting an excellent webinar. We truly value the strong collaboration among the Nordic AmChams and look forward to continued opportunities to exchange insights and strengthen our regional partnership.
