A Conversation on Trade with USTR Dan Mullaney
On June 3, AmCham Denmark partnered with DI and the U.S. Embassy to host a virtual conversation with Dan Mullaney, Assistant United States Trade Representative for Europe and the Middle East.
The coronavirus crisis is an unprecedented global health challenge, which also has a serious impact on the global economy. Trade policy has a crucial role to play in addressing both.
The United States and the European Union have the largest bilateral trade and investment relationship and enjoy the most integrated economic relationship in the world.
During the webinar, Mullaney shared an insightful update on COVID-19’s short-term impact and provided the participants with a broader perspective on U.S.-EU trade. In addition, he highlighted the need for the U.S. and the EU to find a way to make their regulatory systems work together in order to remove barriers and regulations to transatlantic trade and thus create an even stronger trade relationship for the future.
Speakers also included U.S. Ambassador to Denmark Carla Sands and Thomas Bustrup, Deputy Director General & COO, Confederation of Danish Industry.
