AmCham AGM Reviews Successful Year & Looks Ahead to 2019

AmCham Denmark has reviewed a successful 2018 at the Annual General Meeeting (AGM) hosted by Novo Nordisk.

At AmCham Denmark’s AGM the annual accounts were approved and new board members were selected – paving the way for a strong 2019. The meeting was skillfully chaired by Arne Møllin Ottosen (Kromann Reumert).

Board Report

The first item on the agenda was the report from the Board of Directors, which was presented by AmCham Chair Angela Naef (DuPont).

“In 2018, AmCham performed well above expectations with respect to our business plan objectives, successfully capitalizing on key opportunities throughout the year.”

Naef rounded out her report by extending a special thanks to AmCham members for their loyal support and engagement.

Events & Activities

Following the board report, AmCham’s Stephen Brugger reviewed the past year’s activities, where AmCham delivered one of the strongest programs of value-added events in its history. With more than 50 events and a successful merger with Danish-American Business Forum, AmCham Denmark is paving the way to be a true bilateral organization focusing on international business in the U.S. and Denmark.

Board Elections

In other AGM business, AmCham strengthened its Board of Directors with the election of Gitte Schjøtz (UL), Tisha Boatman (Siemens Healthineers), Nicolai Moresco (Dell EMC), and Patrick Day (FMC). Additionally, Henrik Bodskov’s (IBM) board appointment from December was confirmed.
