AmCham Kicks Off 2025 with New Year’s Reception at Rydhave
AmCham members, political leaders and stakeholders kicked off 2025 with a New Year’s Reception, hosted by U.S. Ambassador Alan Leventhal at Rydhave – his last event before his departure ahead of the January 20 inauguration.
In his welcome speech, Ambassador Leventhal emphasized the strength of the transatlantic partnership and the shared commitment of the U.S. and Denmark to addressing global challenges together. Reflecting on his tenure, he highlighted the critical work undertaken to deepen collaboration in areas such as green energy, life sciences, and democracy-building.
The evening’s special guest speaker was the Minister for Industry, Business, and Financial Affairs, Morten Bødskov, who reflected on the deep and enduring ties between Denmark and the United States and how the dependence that exists between Denmark and the U.S. can be likened to the comradery seen in the television series, Band of Brothers.
Both the Ambassador and the Minister underscored the importance of continuing to build on the strong ties that have made the transatlantic relationship a cornerstone for investment, economic growth/stability, and opportunities.
On the eve of his departure, AmCham presented the Ambassador with an honorary AmCham Lifetime Membership, for his extraordinary diplomacy during his tenure, along with his support of AmCham as a key organization.
