AmCham seeks a full-time Governmental Affairs Consultant
The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) is seeking a full-time Governmental Affairs Consultant. This person will be responsible for engaging multiple member groups, facilitating our organization’s policy advocacy initiatives, and contributing to our comprehensive program of events and member services.

Key Responsibilities
As a Governmental Affairs Consultant, you will be responsible for engaging multiple member groups, facilitating our organization’s policy advocacy initiatives, and contributing to our comprehensive program of events and member services. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and driving AmCham policy initiatives including the creation of professional content in Danish & English (white papers, editorials, in-depth reports, etc.).
- Fostering relationships and engagement with AmCham’s key public-sector stakeholders.
- Ongoing professional, proactive support of the policy & advocacy work for AmCham’s committees.
- Analyzing existing and potential legislation and its impact on AmCham members.
- Meeting and event conceptualization, management, and execution, including Folkemødet.
Your background and skills
Fluent in Danish, you have practical public-sector experience, exceptional interpersonal skills and strong English language proficiency. With a degree in political science, business or similar, you have a strong interest in the ‘who’s who’ of Christiansborg and have a keen understanding of the Danish political and commercial landscapes. US-based job experience / education is a plus.
To be successful in this role, you have 1-2 years of relevant work experience, function well autonomously and can manage groups of busy member representatives. You are also an inquisitive, focused self-starter, adept at communicating government initiatives and formulating policy statements in a clear, consistent manner.
