COVID19 – Reopening Security & Operations Planning

AmCham, in cooperation with the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) and the U.S. Embassy held a virtual event focusing on security planning during the COVID19 crisis.

Business leaders have been grappling with the sudden onslaught of the COVID 19 pandemic, which has drastically changed business operations within the course of a few short weeks.  In this uncharted territory, as countries begin to reopen, it is now critical that businesses are clear on how to balance safety, legal restrictions and business continuity.

During the event, we heard from OSAC regional analyst Bina Surati, who talked about the broader COVID19 security impact with regards to cyber crime, terrorism, and organized crime. Then, Francesca Viliani, Dir. of Public Health & Co-Head of Sustainability for International SOS, discussed how they are advising their customers on reopening security & safety strategy. Finally, Thomas de Neergaard, Group Security Officer & CISO for Volvo Group shared their strategy related to the pandemic.
