International Arrivals Can Now Apply for a CPR Number Online

As of May 23rd 2018 all international arrivals in Copenhagen Municipality and 32 partner municipalities must apply for their CPR number online.

This new procedure ensures a simple, efficient and time-saving solution for newcomers and eases the transition of onboarding in Denmark.

Below you will find a guide on how to apply for a CPR number, courtesy of International House Copenhagen.

How to get your CPR number fast and easy
Beginning on May 23, 2018, you must apply for their CPR number online. You can fill out the application wherever you please and up to one month before the date you move into your Danish home – as long as you have a residence permit (if non-EU citizen) and a housing confirmation. EU-citizens also need to have their EU registration certificate on the day they visit the International House to complete their application.

This is what you need to do: Fill in the application form online → visit International Citizen Service at the International House → bring all relevant documents → pick up your CPR number in person.
