Johnson & Johnson COVID Vaccine Approved in US
The Johnson and Johnson vaccine against COVID-19 has been approved for emergency use in the United States. The vaccine has been developed by Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies, an AmCham Denmark member. The vaccine is the first single-shot vaccine to be approved for use against COVID-19, and has shown an 85 percent effectivity in preventing severe disease, and showed protection against COVID-19 beginning 28 days after vaccination.

Johnson & Johnson to partner with Merck
Johnson and Johnson has also announced a partnership with Merck, known as MSD outside the United States and Canada. Merck will use its facilities in the United States to produce drug substance, formulate and fill vials of Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine.
