Logistics & Supply Chain Challenges During COVID-19 – Transatlantic Perspectives
On April 23, AmCham Denmark, in partnership with Seabury Consulting, Chr. Hansen and DSV presented a live stream on ‘Logistics challenges during the current crisis in a Transatlantic Perspective’.
The background of the event was the huge disturbance in the logistics area for both Danish and American companies exporting goods caused by the current COVID-19 crisis. Especially with respect to the air cargo fleet capacity being down by approx. 60% and consequently pressuring alternative logistics solutions.
Marco Bloemen, Managing Director, Seabury Consulting gave an overview of the cargo capacity changes globally and the transatlantic – specifically due to the COVID-19 impact.
This was followed by Søren Winther, Head of Global Logistics, Chr. Hansen who presented how his company is optimizing their global supply chain and logistics during the crisis.
Lastly, Niels Larsen, President, DSV Air/Sea North America gave a fresh perspective from the U.S. including guidance on how companies can keep their supply chain running from a transatlantic perspective.
