Looking Back, Looking Forward: AmCham’s Summer Greeting
Dear AmCham Members,
As Denmark settles into the summer holiday season, I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your engagement, partnership, and support during what has been a very active first half of 2026 for AmCham Denmark.
It has been a period marked by both momentum and uncertainty. Across the transatlantic relationship, we have continued to navigate significant geopolitical and commercial volatility, while here in Denmark the formation of a new government has also created an important moment of transition, with new political priorities and new opportunities for dialogue.
In that environment, AmCham’s role has felt especially relevant: to provide a trusted community where members can trade insights, share knowledge, and engage constructively with the issues shaping the U.S.-Danish commercial relationship.
That work has been visible throughout a busy and successful season of events. Most recently, at Folkemødet, AmCham showed up with substance and scale, convening members and partners across several of the critical sectors in the transatlantic relationship, and it was also fantastic to see so many of our members at our traditional American-style BBQ.
Our policy engagement is also increasing. In April, I joined the AmChams in Europe delegation to Washington, D.C., where we held meetings with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Departments of State and Commerce, and on Capitol Hill, with discussions focused on trade, tariffs, security, and the broader transatlantic agenda. As a new Danish government settles in, we will also look to create new opportunities for members to engage through our Meet the Leaders platform and other more curated formats.
Alongside this outward-facing work, the team and I have also continued the important task of strengthening AmCham institutionally, where we have been focused on modernizing the structures, governance, and systems that will allow AmCham to deliver more consistently for members. That work is less visible than an event or a policy discussion, but it is still essential.
Looking ahead to the second half of the year, there is much more to come. We look forward to seeing many of you at the Chamber Cup Golf Tournament, at our coming committee meetings, and of course at our Business Awards dinner at Moltkes Palæ in October. And we will of course welcome you all back after the summer break at our traditional Back to Business Happy Hour.
For now, I wish you, your colleagues, and your families a very good summer. Thank you again for being part of the AmCham community, and I and the team look forward to reconnecting with you in August.
