Novonesis Named 2026 Transatlantic Company of the Year

AmCham Denmark is proud to name Novonesis the 2026 Transatlantic Company of the Year, recognizing its outstanding performance across the award’s three evaluation criteria: growth, investment, and innovation in the U.S. market.

Selected by an independent jury, Novonesis was recognized for the scale of its U.S. business and its long-term commitment to the American market. The United States is the company’s largest market, representing approximately 29% of global sales. In 2025, U.S. revenue grew nearly 20% to USD 1.4 billion, driven by increasing demand for biosolutions across industries including food, agriculture, bioenergy, household care, and manufacturing.

The jury also highlighted Novonesis’ significant investment footprint in the United States. Over the past five years, the company has invested close to USD 1 billion in U.S. operations and production facilities, including major investments in Nebraska, Wisconsin, and North Carolina. These investments have strengthened U.S. manufacturing capacity, innovation, and local employment while reinforcing Novonesis’ long-term presence in the market.

“Novonesis exemplifies the strong transatlantic business ties between Denmark and the United States,” said Jury Spokesperson Jørgen Bardenfleth. “The jury was particularly impressed by the company’s sustained growth, substantial investments, and ability to deliver innovative solutions that create measurable value in the U.S. market.”
