The United States has appointed Ken Howery as the new U.S. Ambassador to Denmark
Ken Howery brings a remarkable blend of entrepreneurial success and global leadership to his new role as U.S. Ambassador to Denmark.
A Stanford Universuty economics graduate, Howery co-founded both PayPal and Founders Fund, a venture capital firm backing early-stage innovators such as Facebook and SpaceX.
Recognized as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, Howery has remained active in promoting innovation and exploration through roles with the WEF Technology Pioneers Program and the Explorers Club.
As former U.S. Ambassador to Sweden, from 2019 to 2021, he earned recognition for strengthening transatlantic cooperation – particularly in defense and technology.
During his tenure in Sweden, Howery was instrumental in advancing collaboration on Arctic policy, encouraging increased defense investment, and supporting efforts to secure 5G infrastructure.
As he begins his new role in Copenhagen, Ambassador Howery is expected to continue deepening U.S.-Danish ties, with a focus on security, innovation, and transatlantic partnerships.
