2020 U.S. Presidential Election: A Renewed Opportunity for Transatlantic Leadership
The American Chamber of Commerce in Denmark congratulates President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on having been declared winners in the 2020 election.
Americans have voted in historic numbers and it is important to complete the election process by fully counting every vote and resolving any disputes. American democracy relies on trusting the people to make a decision and placing confidence in the systems in place to determine election outcomes.
“This is a pivotal time for the United States, its allies, our economies and our people,” said AmCham’s Executive Director Stephen Brugger. “We look forward to the new Administration’s engagement with the EU, Denmark and like-minded partners to tackle the world’s most pressing challenges, strengthen multilateral institutions and power the economic recovery.”
The EU and the U.S. are each other’s strongest allies – and a strong EU-US partnership, based on shared values and interests, is critical to jobs, prosperity and security on both sides of the Atlantic.
AmCham looks forward to working to help businesses in Denmark and the U.S. unite to unleash a new era of growth, innovation, and access to opportunity.
