Benchmarking Digital Inclusion to Drive a Better More Digital World
AmCham Denmark, in partnership with Elite Partner Siteimprove, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark & The Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) are pleased to announce an exclusive event on ‘Benchmarking Digital Inclusion to Drive a Better More Digital World’.
Over a billion people have some form of a disability that makes accessing the web difficult, which can make every day simple tasks near impossible.
Despite the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), adopted in 2006, there is still an enormous amount of work to be done.
Participants will have the unique opportunity to see world-first project #a11y world map before it goes live. This project finally answers the question of which country has the most accessible websites in the world, and which industries are the most accessible – supporting UN Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education) and 10 (Reduced Inequalities).
Complementing the official unveiling are some of the world’s most respected voices in digitalization and digital inclusion who are working to make accessibility part of the mainstream discussion. Speakers include:
–Casper Klynge, Danish Tech Ambassador
–Patrick Clarke, President, European Down Syndrome Association & V.P EU Disability Forum (EDF)
–Hector Miinto, Senior Technology Evangelist, Accessibility, Microsoft
–Cordelia McGee-Tubb, Lead Accessibility Engineer, Salesforce
