Employer’s Obligation to Register Employees’ Working Time

HR Committee: Employer’s Obligation to Register Employees’ Working Time

AmCham’s HR Committee is pleased to welcome members to a webinar discussing the technical requirements and implementation of the new Act on Working Time based on EU’s Working Time Directive.

The act, which comes into force on July 1, 2024, states that all employers in Denmark are obligated to register their employees’ working time, regardless of the number of employees. Of course, this can be challenging to reconcile in most work environments, and especially with organizations that allow flexible working hours and workplaces.

During this event, employment lawyers Anne Marie Abrahamson (Lundgrens) and Marianne Granhøj (Kromann Reumert) will share practical approaches to compliance including:

  • Requirements for all employers and the possibility of exceptions for certain employee groups (the concept of “self-organizers”)
  • The definition of ‘working time’ and existing obligations for breaks, rest hours, etc.
  • Other amendment content including special points of attention

We hope you will join us to find out more about this upcoming regulation.
