Harvard Business Review: The Real Business of Blockchain with David Furlonger and Christophe Uzureau
Although blockchain is an emerging technology, companies are already using its shared and encrypted networks in transformative ways.
As blockchain becomes widely adopted, it has the potential to radically change how companies compete. Authors David Furlonger and Christophe Uzureau — both of Gartner – the world renowned research and consulting company — offer tips and best practices for using blockchain-inspired solutions to solve problems such as supply chain inefficiency, payment latency, and fraud, as well as strategies for adopting more complete solutions as the technology spreads.
Case examples from companies such as Maersk, Bank of New York Mellon, Starbucks, Porsche, and McDonald’s will help members assess the challenges and risks for blockchain development and consider how they can take advantage of blockchain now, and be ready to compete in a radically reshaped competitive landscape. The Real Business of Blockchain will help readers cut through the hype and focus on the value that blockchain may unlock, and what it will take to succeed.
