US / EU Sanctions Against Russia

AmCham Denmark, in partnership with Kromann Reumert and Foley & Lardner, is pleased to invite members and stakeholders to a timely webinar discussing US / EU Sanctions Against Russia.

Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the U.S. and European Union implemented unprecedented and wide ranging sanctions against the Russian government, its financial system, key companies, products, technologies, and individuals.  The sanctions are part of an unprecedented level of cooperation between the United States, the EU, UK and several other nations.  As a result, Russia is now is under a level of sanctions most commonly associated with countries like Iran and North Korea, only with the rules rapidly changing on a daily or even more frequent basis.

Danish companies that trade with Russian companies or that have economic activities or investments in Russia need to be aware of these sanctions, implement all necessary compliance measures, and be ready to cope with compliance challenges and pitfalls that can change by the hour.

Sanctions and export controls experts Greg Husisian and John Turlais, from the U.S. law firm Foley and Lardner LLP, and Hans Jakob Folker and Laura Maurusic, Danish and EU sanctions and compliance experts from Kromann Reumert, will provide their analysis of these sanctions and practical guidance to Danish companies on how to cope with the rapidly changing legal embargos.
