2021 Executive Seminars in Analytical Chemistry (ESAC)

On September 1, AmCham welcomed more than 150 researchers, chemists, suppliers and industry experts to the Scandic Copenhagen for the 20th annual Executive Seminars in Analytical Chemistry (ESAC 2021).

This year the ESAC program was highlighted by keynote speaker Professor Thomas Moritz, Novo Nordisk Foundation, Center for Basic Metabolic Research, who kicked off ESAC with his presentation on “How to run a metabolomics research lab through the pandemic”.

This year’s event featured the latest developments within Life Science/Biotech, Pharmaceutical, Food/Environment and Clinical/Forensic applications. Participants had the opportunity to choose between 20 different seminars organized in 4 parallel sessions, to visit informational booths by the progressive vendors, and to network with industry professionals.

ESAC 2021 also featured guest exhibitor Ramcon, Peak Scientific and Shimadzu.

The conference concluded with the traditional prize drawing, with this year’s lucky winner, Thomas Jacobsen, from Saniona, going home with an iPad mini. Following the conference, speakers and company representatives gathered at Restaurant Palægade for the traditional ESAC conference dinner featuring great food and American wine.

ESAC 2021 was sponsored by AmCham Denmark’s Analytical Instruments Committee and is the result of an ongoing collaboration between five independent companies: Agilent Technologies, Bruker, Sciex, Waters & Thermo Scientific who could not participate this year due to the company’s global Covid restrictions. The companies’ efforts culminate each year in this popular conference, which enables scientific researchers to network, share their experiences, and to learn more about the latest methods and results in their specific field of research.

Planning is already underway for ESAC 2022 which will be held on April 27th 2022, so save the date!
