AmCham Joins Members at Folkemødet!

On June 17-19, AmCham Denmark joined member companies and the U.S. Embassy at the annual political festival ‘Folkemødet’, which takes place on the island of Bornholm.

AmCham’s Stephen Brugger, Sofie Amalie Buhl Blomsterberg and Nanna Dyrbye Benting attended a variety of Folkemødet events in line with our general purpose of strengthening the voice of international business and promoting innovation, jobs and growth in Denmark.

Because of Covid-19, this year was a ‘special edition’ of Folkemødet and with a mix of physical events with limited space and virtual events, the political festival was held in a smaller scale than usual.

This year, around 8.000 politicians, NGO’s, company representatives, public affairs professionals, media personalities and citizens participated in the four-day festival, compared to almost 100.000 participants last year.

Additionally, AmCham member companies participated in more than 30 events at Folkemøde and virtual. See the full list here.
