Congratulations to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris!

On January 20th Joseph R. Biden Jr. was inaugurated as the 46th President of The United States of America. Vice President Kamala Harris made history by becoming the first female and person of color, being inaugurated as the Vice President of The United States of America.

Speaking from the Capitol, President Biden had a special message to those listening from abroad: “The world is watching today. So here is my message to those beyond our borders: America has been tested and we have come out stronger for it. We will repair our alliances and engage with the world once again. Not to meet yesterday’s challenges, but today’s and tomorrow’s. We will lead not merely by the example of our power but by the power of our example. We will be a strong and trusted partner for peace, progress, and security.”

After taking the oath of office President Biden went to work in the Oval Office and signed seventeen executive orders, including directives to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement and the WHO. Vice President Harris swore in three new senators, making more history.
