Danfoss Named 2024 Transatlantic Company of the Year
AmCham Denmark is proud to announce Danfoss as the winner of the 2024 Transatlantic Company of the Year. An independent jury selected Danfoss in recognition of its impressive growth, substantial U.S. investments, and innovative solutions driving sustainability in the U.S. market.
Danfoss has demonstrated remarkable success in the U.S. market, its largest globally. Over the past five years, the company has consistently expanded its U.S. operations, experiencing steady growth in sales and hiring. Most notably, Danfoss has doubled its revenue and profit over the last three years, a testament to the company’s commitment to meeting the demands of American customers.
Jury spokesperson Jørgen Bardenfleth praised Danfoss for its transatlantic achievements, stating, “The U.S. is Danfoss’ largest market, and their trajectory over the past five years has been remarkable. Their focus on sustainability and innovation, paired with strong U.S. investments, is a blueprint for success.”
Strategic investments have been key to Danfoss’ transatlantic success. The company has expanded its footprint in the U.S. with the opening of a new factory in Florida producing Turbocor compressors, and the development of a semiconductor and power module production facility in New York. Further investments include the expansion of the Hydrogear plant in Tennessee and the Danfoss Power Solutions facility in Iowa. These moves enhance Danfoss’ ability to respond to the evolving needs of U.S. customers while supporting sustainable growth.
Danfoss continues to lead in innovation, particularly with its sustainable solutions aimed at reducing carbon emissions and increasing energy efficiency. Through key acquisitions like Eaton Hydraulics, which doubled Danfoss’ hydraulics business, and UQM Technologies in Colorado, Danfoss is strengthening its portfolio of electrification solutions.
