Danish Nominee for EU commissioner and Government reshuffle announced

Dan Jørgensen is now officially the Danish nominee for EU commissioner. This has sparked a larger reshuffle of the Danish Government.

MP Torsten Schack will be minister for the newly established Ministry for Security and Emergency Management

Minister of Tax Jeppe Bruus is appointed as minister for the newly established Ministry of the Green Deal. MP Rasmus Stoklund will be the new Minister of Tax.

Minister of Digital Government and Gender Equality Marie Bjerre will be the minister of the newly established Ministry of European Affairs, while Special Advisor Caroline Stage Olsen will become the Minister of Digital Government.

Ministry of Gender Equality will be moved to the Ministry of Environment, which means that Minister for Environment Magnus Heunicke will now also be assume the role of Minister for Gender Equality.

Lord Mayor of Copenhagen Sophie Hæstorp Andersen will be the new Minister of Social Affairs and Housing. This also means a farewell to the current Minister of Social Affairs and Housing, Pernille Rosenkrantz-Theil.
