New Danish Foreign and Security Policy Strategy

The world has become more uncertain and unpredictable after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. With the new Foreign and Security Policy Strategy, the government sets the course for how Denmark best navigate in a time of war on European soil and with increasing global competition.

The strategy focuses on three main issues of foreign policy:
1. How do we handle a worsened security situation in Europe after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine?
2. How do we strengthen our global partnerships and alliances on agendas of mutual interest?
3. How do we make our society more robust and resilient with the advent of new global challenges and hybrid threats?
