Healthcare Committee Roundtables with Christoffer Melson & Jesper Fisker

On August 25, AmCham’s Healthcare Committee conducted back-to-back roundtable sessions with Christoffer Aagaard Melson, Member of Folketinget for the Liberal Party (Venstre) and Jesper Fisker, Director of the Danish Cancer Society.

The AmCham Loft provided the backdrop for these high-level briefings, which touched on the current priorities of the Parliament’s Health Committee, the Government’s new Life Science Strategy, the National Cancer Plan V and the Government’s Health Structure Commission (Sundhedsstrukturkommissionen).

About Christoffer Aagaard Melson
Christoffer has been a member of Parliament (Folketinget) for the Liberal Party (Venstre) since 2019. He currently serves as a member of the Parliament’s Health Committee as well as the Liberal Party’s spokesperson for Health, Psychiatry and Defense – as well as a member of the party’s group board. Previously, he has been the spokesperson for IT, Telecom, Greenland, and the Arctic.

About Jesper Fisker
Jesper has been the Director for the Danish Cancer Society (Kræftens Bekæmpelse) since 2018 and was appointed as the Chairman for the Government’s Health Structure Commission in March 2023. Previously, he has served in a variety of positions within Danish public service, including Head of Department for the Ministry for Children and Education and Managing Director for the Danish Health Authority.
