AccessUSA: Local Stakeholder Engagement Roundtable
AmCham’s AccessUSA community, in cooperation with Ørsted and Rockwool Group, conducted a best practice roundtable session focusing on successful local integration of larger U.S. projects.
To successfully build or operate new manufacturing facilities or other infrastructure projects in the United States (and elsewhere), gaining community acceptance is a growing challenge – even if the project addresses otherwise important societal issues like saving energy or reducing carbon emissions. Therefore, it is essential to engage with local communities and stakeholders much earlier in a project than otherwise might have been the case in the past.
This hybrid session was moderated by Mike Casey, President of Tigercomm, who presented actual cases and shared valuable operational guidelines around local engagement. During the lively discussions, participants shared best practices on how to best gain community acceptance.
