Members and Partners Attend Seminar on Workforce Planning in Uncertain Times
On June 15, AmCham’s HR Committee invited members and partners to a seminar on Workforce Planning in Uncertain Times.
The event, hosted by Kromann Reumert, focused on the need to stay focused on talent to weather the storm – which is challenging if top management favors quick cost cutting measures. During the event we heard company cases from Jens Hovgaard Jensen, Chief People Officer, Girteka Logistics; Lene Klejs Stuhr, Associate Vice President, HR Nordic, Agilent Technologies; and Annelise Goldstein, Chief People Officer, Maersk Tankers.
As companies have very diverse workforce planning approaches, strategies such as exploring cost-cutting methods that maintain workforce stability, investing heavily in leadership training and revisiting the company’s core values seem to be effective ways to navigate uncertainty and be prepared for sudden market changes.
Following the business cases there was a lively panel discussion moderated by HR Committee Steering Group members Marianne Granhøj, Partner, Kromann Reumert and Chandre Torpet, Founder & Director, Inclusive Matters.
