U.S. Embassy Celebrates Independence Day at Rydhave

On August 31, the U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen celebrated the 247th American Independence Day at a garden party reception at Rydhave. Guests included International Diplomats, Danish Governmental Officials, and the American-Danish business community – including several AmCham members.

Hosted by U.S. Ambassador Alan Leventhal, the reception featured an official United States color guard.

Speaking to guests from the garden at Rydhave, Ambassador Alan Leventhal expressed the importance of not only celebrating America’s founding, but but also commemorating the enduring relationship between the United States and Denmark.

The past year has required our action as partners in addressing great challenges.”

Additionally, Ambassador Leventhal made remarks on:
–  The partnership between the U.S., Denmark, and NATO allies during the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
–  Denmark’s crucial role in implementing the Inflation Reduction Act and their leadership in global green initiatives.
– The enduring partnership that drives transatlantic commerce, innovation, and shared economic prosperity.
– Strengthening our thriving cultural ties.
