HR Committee Discusses Salary & Benefits in Today’s Economy

On March 14, AmCham’s HR Committee held its first event of the year on the theme for 2023 which is Navigating HR during Challenging Times – where we will investigate the importance of staying focused on the workforce during times of adversity, as a method of weathering the storm.

The first event, which was hosted at Lundgren’s Law Firm, focused on the Impact of Inflation on Salary & Benefits where we spoke with leaders who, during the last year, have been struggling with the question of what to do to offset the higher cost of living – and potentially retain current employees. During the event we heard varying strategies from Keld Smedegaard Nielsen, Director HQ & Global Business Services Rewards, Novo Nordisk along with Anne Marie Ravn, HR Director from IBM.

To round out the discussion we heard from Helge Pedersen, Group Chief Economist, Nordea Bank who shared an economic outlook for 2023, and touched upon the current labor negotiations taking place in Denmark.
